A ground-breaking service for schools who run their own childcare
Hello, my name is Dan McCaffrey – I’m the Managing Director here at Childcare Bookings.
As a former primary school teacher, childcare director, and school governor, I have dedicated my working life to helping these organisations maximise their young people’s potential. I am passionate about all children having the best opportunities to learn, thrive and flourish.
However, I am a realist. I (like everyone) can see the direction of travel in school funding, and that things may remain tough financially for some considerable time.
Every available penny is needed to positively affect pupils’ life chances, but increasingly the onus is on schools to plug the gap. The reality is that schools are being required to become more commercially minded – in spite of how uncomfortably this may sit with many school leaders.
Our goal
My fellow Directors and I created Childcare Bookings to help school leaders tackle this challenge, specifically by helping them maximise their own income to support their budgets.
With a background of running one of the largest commercial providers of breakfast, after school & holiday care in the UK, we are experts in the provision of high-quality childcare with highly effective and accurate administration.
Our goal, which we are proud to say we are achieving with many schools and MAT’s, is to help schools run their wraparound childcare as a commercial success, without sacrificing their core task – the education of its pupils.

My team and I work tirelessly to ensure your childcare club is both as financially successful as possible, as well as providing parents and club staff with an exceptional service. We are delighted to chat to any schools about any area of their wraparound care.
