From External Provider to In-House Wraparound Care
After spending up to 10 hours a week managing bookings, cancellations, and paperwork, the Club Managers at Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy turned to Childcare Bookings for Schools to simplify their wraparound care administration.
The parent queries that we were getting was at an all-time high, both through emails and phone calls. We wanted to outsource this on top of the work regarding childcare vouchers and payments, and to be flexible with our capacities. One of our other main priorities was to increase parent visibility too, ensuring that they were aware of live availabilities and booking options.
We have had fewer queries to respond to, so it has saved lots of administrative time for us, allowing us to concentrate on other priorities. The childcare voucher administration is now non-existent – this has been my favourite difference!
You helped our transition process for parents, ensuring it was really clear from start to finish. On top of that, it felt like you knew us from the beginning, in comparison with other systems your service is really personable.
The experience was a smooth transition for both our staff and the parents, I think this was due to the careful explaining of the process beforehand, especially with regards to Terms and Conditions.
We were planning on regenerating our Wraparound Care at school, and starting with Childcare Bookings at the same time was a great combination for both the school and parents. Benefits for school include the fact that our teachers have live registers, proving an excellent addition to our safeguarding processes. The sign out feature for our club staff is also very effective safeguarding system at the end of a session.
For parents, we have heard that the regular monthly charges are much better for them and their budgeting needs. It is also easier for some of our parents to claim the costs of their childcare back including Universal Credit and WAC for Military Families.
